A programme of vocal and instrumental music from Venice and the Dalmatian Coast, this is a rare chance to hear composers born on the Adriatic coast in present-day Croatia, whose early baroque works are seldom heard today. This area of the Mediterranean was part of the Venetian Republic, and it was common for its composers to further their studies (and find fame) by publishing their intriguing and virtuosic works across the Adriatic in Italy. In a programme devised by Croatian-born Bojan Čičić, enjoy composers such as Ioannis Lucacich de Sebenico, Gabrielo Puliti and Vicentio Jelich whose vocal works will be juxtaposed with instrumental works by Venice-based composers, Usper, Kapsberger, Bassano, and Rossi.
