The Language of Flowers

  • St Wilfrid's Church Duchy Road Harrogate, England, HG1 2EY United Kingdom (map)

The Marian Consort makes its Harrogate International Festivals debut with an atmospheric candlelit concert in the glow of Luke Jerram’s evocative Gaia sculpture. This exploration of flowers, gardens and all things earthy and earthly, both actual and allegorical, combines rich, expressive choral works by Renaissance composers, evoking lush landscapes and themes of love, nature, and spiritual longing with atmospheric new works from Leo Chadburn, Hugo Bell and Nneka Cummins.
