Applications are now open for the second edition of Emerging Voices 2026, The Marian Consort’s talent development programme supporting the next generation of composers writing for vocal ensemble!
Emerging Voices is designed to support composers without any professional experience of choral writing. Over the course of the 2026 season, three selected composers will take part in a paid programme including workshops with The Marian Consort, one-to-one mentoring from our Artistic Director Rory McCleery and award-winning British composer Laurence Osborn, among others, writing time, rehearsal sessions, and the opportunity for a subsequent paid commission within three years.
Following the success of our inaugural cohort in 2024-25, we are thrilled to be opening the door to the next group of voices. This programme reflects our commitment to nurturing new music and expanding the possibilities of vocal ensemble writing.
Full information about eligibility, what we offer, and how to apply can be found via the link below.
Application deadline: Friday 23 January 2026 (midday)
We look forward to hearing from composers who are curious, imaginative, and excited to explore writing for voices.
